Here’s the price action from the session:

Session Notes:
I was too aggressive in the few minutes before the open. I got too “zoomed in” on the prior swing low on the 1m. No reason at all to take those trades and start down $100-200ish.
Then, I stayed too aggressive in the first few minutes after the open. The tricky part is, price did scoop. The market pushed up before attacking that attractive-looking swing low (with a lot of white space below it).
I eventually did get in and was up a good bit - but didn’t exit. I was a little too in love with my short idea, and I didn’t cut out when it was clearly turning up.
Once the 5m pin par formed, bouncing off of yesterday’s session low, I flipped my bias and went long on the breakout of the wedge on the 1m.
We bounced around the major levels I look for - 1m opening range, prior day highs and lows, and overnight highs and lows.
On the way up, this started looking like an extra powerful scoop, trapping shorts.
So, I held for the ride up.

Right about here, I was looking for the breakout of the 1m OR (also the day’s high so far).
But, we ended up turning back down. I should have covered here, but got lucky.
This turned out to be a great thing, because it represented the pause and buildup of pressure that you want to see before a strong breakout. A straight attack from the bottom, straight up to the BO level would have been a lot weaker.

ONE Strength
Had the patience to wait for a strong, extended move. This literally felt better than how I usually hold (and exit) trades these days.
ONE Weakness
Executions are still hard to see on this platform. This sorta makes me miss Ninjatrader. I’d like to figure out a better way to visualize this for the sake of the journal.
